I still expect this movie to be rather insipid. A collective of walking stereotypes doing battle under an obfuscation of random explosions and flying debris. We are talking about a Bay movie, after all. They tend to wander a path of a certain kind of predictability...

Isn't the key difference here that the DC continuity shift undoes all history as written in the old one in favor of a new square-one, while Zelda establishes two branches halfway along the chronology that run parallel to each other and acknowledge the history that established each?

Does retconning reboots into being a single continuity really count?

Surprisingly, they're not, as the seemingly disparate games build two (possibly three) distinct but still entirely connected continuities in series.

What's going on with the apparent 'Turtle Incognito?' If that's in the movie, I'm already as cheeseballed by that as I was by the Transformers trying to hide from Sam's parents in the first Transformers movie.
