That dang sock. Even in this tiny picture where I KNEW it was there, somewhere, it still took me ages to find the blasted thing.
If you dose it through the eyeball it lasts a lot longer. Goes, like, straight to the brain that way or something. It's wicked.
Col. Gentleman's List of Toys He Wishes He Had When He Was A Lad.
She could have a little bit of local bleeding. That could go away in a couple days or couple weeks.
I enjoyed AFfC, it may not have everyone's favorite characters but it was enjoyable to me nonetheless. It's a lot stronger to read in this fan-suggested reading order alongside A Dance With Dragons. Has a good flow to it like that, even if it is somewhat inconvenient for reading on-the-go.
It's a good series if you have patience, but be forewarned, if I may twist the words of Maester Pycelle, that each book is indeed a ponderous tome.
And my first thought is....
Consuming light, they swim among stars.
And this is precisely why I'll be sitting on a new console purchase for at least a year. Well, at least half of the reason. The other reason being, waiting for something actually noteworthy to play as well.
Later on, he escapes an impossible situation and overthrows an entire empire through good intentions and building a magnificent statue. No, seriously.
You picked a good time to stop. Hate myself for wasting my time on that series because it only gets worse on from this one.
As others are saying as well, I would throw Sword in the fire and just move on to the markedly better Elfstones. The Heritage series comes highly recommended as well as I think it's his best work overall. But yeah, Sword isn't very good, I agree with that.
haha, I agree with you. I intended this more as just a massive 'what if' and found myself interested in how we would approach dealing with this or other environments we created that are at odds with existing natural environments. On one level it's really absurd to think about in relation to a few divergent colonies of…
Makes me think of the old maxim of the road to Hell being paved with good intentions. I guess ultimately whether we determined it is our obligation to clean the mess or merely let nature take its course, we had a major influence on the outcome both through action and/or inaction. While I do agree on your point of…
I'm tempted to argue that there's a delineation between a singular invasive, destructive species and an emergent ecosystem. Asian Carp didn't find a niche and exploit it. With a little help from people, it bulldozed the walls and said to hell with the niche.
Your thinking is much in line with mine, though you raised the point about not catering to every species, which only made me wonder how we establish which species we cater to. After thinking some more I did establish that it would likely be decided a case-by-case basis and that clearly we would not be invested in…
This started as an absurd musing but after thinking on it for a few minutes and not really knowing how to find the answer, I have to ask—
I mean, yeah, it's an incremental improvement, but nothing mindblowing. A few more particles, some cleaner AA and slightly more accurate shading. I'll be more interested in these kinds of comparisons when we get the next-gen equivalent of GTA:SA vs. GTA:V
on a console once every 7-10 years.
