I read the books first and watched the show second. Though they are following a similar arc, the events in between are taking serious diversions that will make it interesting to see how they will reconcile key plot points in the show against what happens in the books. I believe the books are a deeper, more subtle

Ah, okay. You cleared that up, thanks.

It being of the Fox News-branded variety of professional trollnalism, I find it impossible to get my rabble roused by this predictable attempt at rousing the rabble. I just don't care about their provocative agenda-setting any more, and feel sorry for those who won't/can't engage their critical thinking skills to see

I love salads, especially salads of baby greens (the most expensive!). But we frequently don't eat more than one salad with one meal and we're done. The rest is wasted

I'm sure it was something like "It's not in our plans" or something to that extent. But plans can and do change.

Just post a concept art or early-development screenshot and watch their hype-train almost derail itself with the glee of imagining the possibilities. I've seen it so many times with the GTA games it's all I can do to not roll my eyes and cluck cluck at some of the people all too ready to launch into elaborate

The main pitfall that I see with the video game preview is the propensity for the preview-writer to overstate what they've seen, to extrapolate from a fragment of the game or a fragmentary comment from a developer something grander about the whole game. That pitfall applies to a lot of criticism and reporting.

Indeed. There can be only one.

This was hilarious and enjoyable as well as being informative. Fahey, you hit a home run on this Snacktaku review.

The population in general seems to have a very difficult time understanding causation and correlation.

2000 dollars ignoring sales tax, that's 33 full-priced console games. Not even a third of the current library on any console.

Can we advance time 20 years and let the ridiculous "devil's playthings" impression of videogames currently held by the old guard to just bloody die off, already?

Don't respond to them. Let them sink.

I'm not certain who the guy in this gif is but for some reason I want to punch his face so hard.

Now playing

Whoever made this video makes this look easy, but this level from Taz-Mania (Genesis) is easily one of the worst minecart segments in my memory of gaming. I can still remember the rage/frustration from trying/retrying this way too many times.

Yup. I agree with you as well.

I never finished Lost Odyssey. The part with the boat and the timed assaults against the same boss over and over again ruined me on it. This was a shame. I was enjoying it immensely to that point but the sudden grindiness it demanded ruined my mood.

The Gameboy I got as a birthday present in 1990 is mostly responsible for my current love of gaming. My only regret is that I no longer have it.

Personally I like this one so far the best.

It's a basic patent illustration, and compared to others I've seen, this is practically a masterwork.
