I see you’ve played knifey-dodgey before.

Doesn’t really matter if it’s staged or not. Some will still enjoy seeing it.

Meh, whatever. This site frequently posts stuff like this. They even have a series for it, Highlight Reel. It’s just a fun little moment.

Total newb here at the game. You can get around that by watchig where everyone else is jumping to and NOT going there. Grab weapons first and then hopefully the next fight will be on your terms.

Want some fries with all that salt?

It’s consistent with Tesla’s “go big” approach, though—everyone said city cars were the best candidates for EVification, but Tesla said “fuck that, sports cars and luxury cars.”

So people who drive and manage trucks and fleets are stupid rubes. Got it. Funny guy!

Surprised you didn’t work a hooker murder joke in there. Or maybe a joke about arm wrestling and hats.

Oh my god. It’s not predatory. Fuck. He kept the game x number of days. It costs x dollars per day to keep said game. He returned it. He got charged the price of that There is nothing predatory about this. It’s just simple math and common sense.

Great jokes are never a waste of screentime.

The economics of this is much more complicated then this. The issue isn’t minimum wage laws as the Average worker makes only about $2,000 USD less then in N. America, Which is on the low end of a developed economy but isn’t outside of the mainstream. Now while the minimum wage is stagnant and certainly is not enough

Game devs need to get off their high horse. There are second hand markets for tons of things from clothing to furniture, and you don’t see them complaining. Even movies have second hand markets and they haven’t made a fuss about it like game devs have, and that is the movie industry, they make a huge deal out of

Gamestop’s are like fast food restaurants. They are everywhere.

1. Developers have already made their money from NEW sales, GameStop makes maybe 10% on any new game sale, you really think Rockstar is gonna come after GameStop because $Xbillion wasn’t enough for them selling brand new copies of GTA V and now they just want to be greedy and ask for more from them when they’re the #1

Don’t see how it’s much different from what Blockbuster was doing a couple decades ago.

Maybe if the people who make games make them, you know, actually GOOD, then I fail to see how this would be an issue for them. Because most indie games are download only (or heavily favor being downloaded) and won’t be in this system. And a lot of “big” games these days purposely stack loads of DLC and online passes

How is this any different than any of the older game rental systems? Have you ever heard of Blockbuster?

Mom and pop stores sell video games? Unless you’re referring to a pawn shop, and supporting those often unscrupulous leeches would be far worse, IMO.

its almost like there’s a reason every single game does this...

Because some people like trucks.
