My phone died two weeks ago today and my backup can’t play Pokemon Go so I’ve just not played it. It’s going to be weird getting my phone back and likely playing without noticing much of a difference, but hearing about all these things that went wrong in between now and then.

There are no maps to refer to in the first game, so you have to stumble from screen to screen, walking at a painfully slow pace, trying to remember where everything is (you could also map it by hand, but fuck that shit).

I’m not really surprised by the outcome. The local place where I go to play PoGo has tons of people playing at night. But most people stay in the main area. Just walk down a side street and you can end up getting robbed by somebody jumping out of an alley. Last time I was out there I spotted a couple of women open

My wife and I have this set up to a science now. Drive to our local blob of PokeStops (an area where tons of people congregate under about 10 Stops with lures on all of them). Along the way the passenger holds both phones and directs the driver on what turns to take and collects the PokeStop goodies leading up to the

It’s actually a really good thing. Imagine hearing that it was all there was to the game. People would stop playing in weeks and it would be the biggest mobile game burnout ever.

Correction: it’s Top Gear Version 2, Part 2: 2 Fist 2 Face 2 Amazon Electric Boogaloo

I watched a minivan nearly rear end a car at a stop sign yesterday. Both drivers of both cars were playing Pokemon Go. There was a huge crowd of people on the side walk playing the game like normal humans, but these drivers had to play like toolboxes and nearly caused an accident. A part of me wishes the accident

Damn, that’s nice! Now I’m wondering if there is a place online to see all the murals, this started getting interesting.

There’s two reasons I can think of how anybody’s game would get leaked: somebody could hack his company (or the executives at the publisher that know of the project) or an employee could sell/release info about the project. It must be tough to worry about hacks or employees betraying you for a few weeks.

I’d be nice if I could turn off my screen entirely and have my phone buzz me when I’ve walked up to a Pokemon. Leaving the screen on is the biggest battery drain for me. The GPS and rendering both hurt too, but not as much.

To me, the differences between the teams are like the differences between Mass Effect 3 endings: just different colors. So just pick one (probable one that your friends are in).

My wife and I drove out to the town square earlier tonight, because my wife heard there is a ton of Pokemon to collect in that area. We got there and we saw about 25-50 people wandering around with their phones out collecting Pokemon. On a Sunday night, at midnight. The town square is not this busy during the day

Firehouse Subs. I recognize those murals easily. Of course most of ours here are sports themed (firefighters hosing a large cardinal to represent the Royals beating the Cardinals in the 1985 World Series).

Though I wasn’t particularly interested in the video, I have to say thank you for putting the transcript in the article. Sometimes I’m not in the right place to watch a video or just don’t want to watch the video and most writers don’t care to include a transcript. I’ve gotta show appreciation for a good practice like

That was a fun series for my Royals. They do great at home (27-11), but suck on the road (15-25), while the Cards are great on the road (25-15), but suck at home (15-23). I was wondering who would out-do the other at Kaufman, and who was going to suck more at Busch.

Part of me wonders if it was possible for him to stay upright if he could just stick the landing better.

Major League teams: “we don’t condone this sort of thing.”

Still stuck on that Resident Evil 7 demo. I want to believe! That and the Fallout 4 DLC Contraptions will suck up my time.

Seems pretty damn crazy when they race up Pike’s Peak too. Danger plus the possibility of going over a step edge? No thanks.

Eric Hosmer made this mistake back in April, but didn’t blow it as badly though.
