Non-New Yorker here also: I assume it has something to do with the fact that the department in charge of maintenance might take a long to identify, plan and do something about the problems. Even slower when the city doesn’t properly fund said maintenance department. It’s a mystery to me why people can’t seem to care

Cool, I thought I heard your voice in some other Gawker videos. It’s nice to see some video expansion on here, even if means only seeing Highlight Reel twice a week.

Probably very hard. If I remember correctly the right rear wheel is attached to the transmission system of the motorcycle so... You’d have to detach the mounts and probably swap the transmission parts too.

Congrats on the COTD! I feel like I’ve got a target on my back now that my comment was included in the original article! I did not expect that to happen, and I think that comment may look a bit bad now...

Monday’s and Thursday’s? Are you not getting as many submissions as before?

Good God! Why can’t a free GS just show up I my life like that! I’m envious. I’m sure I overpaid for my gs750 since it was so out of shape when I got it. Nice to see the universe balance out like that.

I have always felt like there was a silent majority that does the right thing, but an extremely loud minority of people that make the most noise. I wish it was equal all around but loud and rude gets more attention than quiet and kind.

That right there just what turns me and bunch of people away from it. It’s way too flamboyant for my tastes. The rider might be neat to meet though.

Funny, I ride a Suzuki since my dads last bike was a Suzuki. The only difference was that I’m riding a ‘79 GS. I’m surprised I didn’t try something, you know, recent, but I like 70’s bikes too much. I try to be open minded though. Someday I might get a Ural. Or a Harley if my wife converts me.

Hey man, don’t forget to CC the sellers on eBay too. I refuse to order something that uses only a stock photo.

You make a good case for the baggers. I don’t like them, but you just made them sound much more appealing.

I felt like it was possibly leaning that way, but I also thought using the same old stereotypes would cause some people to get all jumpy and miss the message between the lines (if they were even there, I’m still a little unsure).

Seriously, thanks for getting me out of the grays! Whether you agree with me or not, showing that you want me in the conversation deserves a ton of respect.

I don’t plan on riding Harleys, but I want my wife to get into riding and she only has her eyes on a Sportster. As a result I have learned to appreciate their look. They aren’t bad, just not exactly my style.

It’s gotta suck to be pushed away for riding a Sportster. No love from HD riders, and nothing from everyone else either. Seriously, elitism has to stop somewhere. If not then the motorcycle community becomes a system of classes and it makes is worse.

I’m no fan of Harleys but, come on! If Lanesplitter is trying become something more than just a weak little blog it has to do more than publish garbage that pisses on a whole segment of motorcycle riders. Is this a motorcycle blog, or a blog for motorcycle elitism?

The biggest project I’ve done is clean the carburetor on my 1979 Suzuki GS750L. Twice. The first time I half assed it and just sprayed some cleaner in there (and my eye, ouch!). The second time I did it the proper way with full disassembly and dip in carb cleaner for 12+ hours. Both times it’s was a bitch to get the

Despite their controversies Uber certainly knows how to advertise some cool stuff.

Just to spite Konami, I hope Pachinko gets banned in Japan /s
