That’s certainly a safe conclusion to draw, but it’s an old conclusion, and not an informative or helpful one. And it’s certainly not an excuse for giving up looking for more conclusions to draw. I wouldn’t want doctors to say, “The only safe conclusion to draw is that people can get cancer.”
