Again, I'm not the only person who might be a little bit offput by an initiative like this. If we all decided that we didn't have to complain because "no one is forcing us to do X, Y or Z", we'd all end up being rather one-track minded at the end of the day, wouldn't we?

Now that's what I call BLAST PROCESSING!

I've never liked that "no one's forcing you to do x" argument, mainly because it's not really much of an argument at all. The fact of the matter is that I have liked Valve games and still do.

Phantasy Star Online and Universe both suffered from being distanced from the PC version in terms of updates. In fact, the issue of it being multiplatform in the past is what made it more difficult for them to add updates to the PC version (case and point the need for the 360 and PC versions to be compatible).

Shut up and take my rings, SEGA.

This is stupid. I spend at least eight hours every day dealing with human society. Now it's penetrating the part of my life where I actually have some time to be alone.

Gabe has a heart attack due to deteriorating health. Valve crumbles. Nintendo decides to be innovative in the software and internet department.

@josephmeraz: time to oil up!!: "Okay, the analog AND the digital formats both suck. Let's totally upgrade to water discs. Oh wait that's right, there's actually no way to copy data on another medium onto water storage. OH WELL, GUESS IT'S TIME TO RE-INVENT THE WHEEL."

@MPLightning: I'm not so sure third-party support will be all that good for the next Nintendo console. The Wii had horrible third party games and so will this.

@Blore07: I just hope Miyamoto's address about the eShop is a sentiment shared by other Nintendo employees. If you're going to go through all this work to make some grand service or piece of hardware, you MIGHT as well not tarnish it by flooding it with crap no one uses!

@Mit: But there's also the other very likely possibility that the video game industry bubble will pop in the next generation. I say this because it's become increasingly difficult to develop games that qualify as AAA titles while at the same time balancing the books.

@Jezuz: Any kind of frustration with games will absolutely destroy the casual fanbase that Nintendo has. It's too risky a move to convert casuals to hardcores. Therefore, I think they will continue down the path that they've been going down for the past few years.

It wasn't consumed. It was eviscerated!

Well, seems like Barrett is taking on a Bonne bot in one of the photos there. My guess is that they haven't completely legitimized their operations, and well - they probably haven't, based on the setting. A new island with its own massive set of ruins to explore? I couldn't pass that up if I was a pirate.

AND BEST PLAYING. <.<

FINALLY, ruins with complex geometry! There's actually something to look at for once.

Two reasons.

Don't forget "plagued by a story that forces a tedious in-game narrative on the player".

What Sonic games had going for them at the time wasn't just the speed factor but the rings and the level design.

I'm surprised if that is the case. Regardless, I'm happy that they're even bothering to make this endeavor.
