You would have caught me dead with five of them.

Why has gaming descended into something cosmetic? Why does gaming have to be a hobby that defines the person? Why do fanboy cliques exist purely out of loathing some other system?

Well said. IMO, the only titles on PSP that were worthwhile were Peace Walker, MHFU and Birth by Sleep. Ultimately, those three titles would have done better on a console.

I am inexplicably insulted by your remark because we're talking on the internet.

I'll take both, I guess?

Clearly they do care, though, because the demographic that is complaining about the games happen to be the twenty or thirty year olds who've inspired the gameplay of the past few entries in the series. Still, I bet if you gave any newer Sonic game (with the exception of Shadow the Hedgehog) to a kid, they'd probably

I don't care what anyone says. If risk was completely taken out of the equation, I would do it.

Freddie Wong, truly one of the most interesting stars on Youtube. It's so bizarre for a musician to have such a wicked expertise in video effects and graphics design.

Ugh, self-upgrading consoles? That was SO last gen.

It's pretty awesome that we've got the original Sonic there - but to be honest, it seems to SEGA/ST that taking risks is worthless because the fans complain, but they can't conform either because fans still complain. Sonic fans (GENERALLY SPEAKING) are fickle people who need critical aspects of the next game to be

Indeed. If SEGA was really trying to pander to the older generation of fans, they would actually just take the new one out completely and leave the old Sonic there. But you can't, 'cause the newer fans would bitch and complain about how the old Sonic design is stubby.

This, but I don't think Sonic Team knows how to anymore.

I think the major complaint is the lack of proper physics. What people would have appreciated more, I think, is if they used Unleashed's "Hedgehog Engine" but only ever had the side-scrolling portions of the game.

It's just a damn name.

I'm personally hoping for a game that shows a lot of promise from its ties to a triple-A franchise but completely fails to deliver because of limitations and lackluster gameplay.

It won't be much of a next generation portable once a couple of years has gone by. That name /can't/ be here to stay, really.

They could just call it the PlayStation Plague. When one of those babies hits stores, it'll penetrate culture like a super disease that humanity couldn't have ever anticipated.

Battletoads Revamp, yeah! Let's make it darker, grittier and give them cigarettes! I think it would be really cool if we include features like cover-based shooting, slow-mo and REAL TIME WEAPON CHANGE.

Right, that's the kind of response I was hoping to hear. You're right in that way of thinking... gaming and social interaction were never meant to intentionally mingle. Games back then weren't ever designed that way, unless you count calling the Nintendo Power Tip Line to get help with NES games some kind of social
