People love the Xterra for precisely that reason - predictable, old school BOF with no fuss. Tried and true, reliable, tough as nails. It's got leather and backup camera and all that btw.
It's actually quite a different car from the first version, but the style has held constant. Please don't wish away one of the last few true off-roaders and one of two with a manual. Don't buy it, but there are plenty of people who do...so leave it alone.
I keep trying to forget they exist...
I disagree... i think the should keep it and slap the new WRX drive train into one. Crosstrek STi
So? Honda offered the Insight, and their drivers aren't much different. Any driver can be an asshole. It has little to no bearing on the car they drive.
So no. The Prius doesn't deserve to die this year. Far from it.
You can't get AWD and Manual on the same car, but I do like these
A tiny little AWD runabout with a turbocharged four banger and a manual gearbox, what's to hate about that?
I didn't like 'em at first either... but turbo, AWD, stickshift, and IIRC, a wonky rear non-differential rear axle setup that uses computer-controlled clutches in the axles that theoretically should allow you to replicate any sort of diff you wanted.
But WHY does it need to die? It's Toyota's volume seller and even though it gets hate for being "beige" it's a competent little car that can be had for cheap and is extremely reliable.
If your response is the typical "lololol jalopz rule n beige iz 4 fgz" then have a nice day.
IIRC 2014 is the last year for the FJ.
You shut your mouth, sir.
This is actually the last year. I think the last one will be produced in june 2014 if I'm not mistaking.
The Toyota bashing is getting stupid.
Why would this car need to die?
It's surprisingly good off-road, and an all-around good car.
I was going to be a pedantic ass and try to defend this, but I can't.
Why does this even exist?
