Well I wasn't looking for any generic Cadillac song, I was looking for songs I like. Outside of the Outkast on there, I don't know any of those songs...

Now playing

I'm striking out on Cadillac songs being available on Youtube, so you are going to have to settle for a song about a broken down Honda Accord....

Well, to be fair, the idea of a decent looking Impala isn't so far fetched, it's just been a while...

I'll take the Parcour's body and dual-stage pushrod suspension with the Audi's engine and steering.

The Impalas look quite good in person. I was passed by one over the weekend and did a double take. It was probably the first time a modern Chevy has caught my attention like that. Ever.

No need to apologize for anything. Nothing you said was dickish or untrue in the least. I think it is important for Jalops, more than anyone, to speak out against this type of shit, because it gives us all bad names. Being a car enthusiast /= endorsing street racing. Thanks for taking up the good fight.

Yeah, let's ask Kiley Russell how she feels about Oprah's gift...

Don't forget that the $7k in taxes is only for someone in the highest income tax bracket (i.e., in 2004, someone making over $319,100 per year). I doubt that those people have problems coming up with $7k. For those making less money, the taxes are substantially lower.

Damn, try as I might, I just can't get it right. I guess I am just not cut out for this internet commenting thing...

Seriously though, are you saying that they weren't given time to get financing? They had to pay $7k on the spot that day, or forfeit the car? If that is the case, then yes, that would be dickish of Oprah. I highly doubt that is the case though.

Sorry! I keep forgetting. Let me try to do a better job of blending in...

Nope, just some Ferrari branded water wings...

So do you have actual knowledge of someone that was forced to walk away from the car because they, at the very least, were not able to get a short-term car title loan to cover the taxes, to afford them the time to title the car in their name, drive it over to CarMax, sell the car on the spot, immediately pay off the

No one was forced into anything. Don't want to have to pay a couple grand in taxes? Don't take the free $20k+ car. Simple as that.

This sentiment is simply baffling to me. Is there nothing you can be happy about? No matter what the taxes were, every person that received a car was thousands of dollars richer after receiving it. How on earth can you twist that into a bad thing?

Surely you can see the difference between run-of-the-mill speeding, and trying to set lap times around the densest metropolitan area in the US, right? The police are not reviewing random road footage and arresting every speeder they find, and it is a bit absurd to think that the arrest of Afroduck is an indication

I think you are making a number of unwarranted assumptions about what this arrest means for the future of law enforcement. This is a case where a guy videotaped himself committing a dangerous stunt that put lots of lives at risk, posted it online and then outright advocated for other people to try to break his

Well lookey there, something good did come of Jalopnik publicizing this. Outrage withdrawn.
