The Captain is also a schlubb. I wouldn’t put him I need command of a rubber dingy. He makes the Kelvin timeline Kirk look like Picard in terms of professionalism.

I don’t know. As bad as Encounter at Farpoint is, I think it is more watchable than that episode of the Orville. I believed in Picard as a Captain from the get go. I don the believe McFarlane’s character could get out of the Academy, much less end up on the Command track.

See, I am one of those people, and I didn’t like it at all. McFarlane’s character irritated me to no end. I don’t see how that schlub could make it out of the junior ranks, no matter who his ex FiL was friends with.

So if the XO is the one with the connections to the Admiralty, why is McFarlane’s character the captain? The show utterly failed to convince me that he has what it takes to get through Academy training, much less rise above the junior ranks.

Just finished watching it. I refuse to believe that McFarlane’s character could pass the psych test presumably needed to be put in command of other people, no matter how badly they need captains. He makes Chris Pine Kirk look like Picard.

Is it a lighting thing? She it really well lit in the example you posted.

There’s a difference between not letting them march unopposed, and physically attacking them. Fey literally ended her piece by telling people to stay home and ignore them. BIPOC don’t get the luxury of ignoring the people who want to ethnically cleanse them.

Somebody wants to bring their dog to a counter rally? What do they think they are going to? A Sunday School picnic?

They are already committing violence against BIPOC. Not standing up to them allows them to keep doing so.

Andray Domise wrote a good tweet thread about the Tina Fey piece:

I don’t get the number of people with Slavic names like Peter Cvjetanovic, who are mixed up with the Neo-Nazis.

A guy with a Serbian last name marching with a bunch of Nazis? Guess no one ever told him that in Nazi occupied Europe, he would have been considered subhuman and targeted for extermination.

Weird thing is, a lot of this ranting from him seems to have something to do with Outlander shipper wars.

Someone posted this to his twitter feed.

Birds can spread tomato seeds, too, so I don the know about that.

Some cloth diapers have Velcro fasteners.

Yes, yes it is.

Richard Dawkins once responded to me on twitter, just to mock my lack of Twitter followers. It was like a 10 year old chanting “You don’t have any friends.”

But I imagine they don’t ride around in armour like that, or generally get so tall.

“Children of Ham is a biblical reference to the son that Noah cursed and cast out in the Book of Genesis.
