The 14 year old daughter of a friend of mine recently came home after school to tell her mother that one of he friends was dating a guy who was 19. The daughter was concerned, and followed her friend to where she was meeting this guy. She even got a picture of him on her phone. Dude was way older than 19.

The march is on a Saturday...

That’s from a parody Facebook account.

The last season was just so insane, I kept watching thinking “this is going to start making sense soon”. And then the show ended. And it didn’t.

I made it all the way through Earth: Final Conflict and Andromeda. Most of Torchwood was more watchable than the final seasons of either one of those.

I found it bloated and tedious. Too little story spread across too many episodes. Watching it was a chore. The only reason I didn’t stop was because I was attending monthly Doctor Who taverns, and I knew people would be discussing it.

I feel exactly the same way. X-Files last season and Torchwood: Miracle Day both left me feeling like I was just done with them,

No, steak guy was at Stanford. This guy was still in high school.

Oh look, a whole basket of deplorable basketcases.

Confession time: based on her tiny avatar , I thought Kara was white, but then after she said something about being black, I clicked on her picture.

They are, however, some of the siblings say there was abuse while other siblings deny it.

Kara is black...

I know a lot of adults have read them.. My point is the first couple of books had just come out and it was nowhere near the cultural force it would become. Harry is a pretty common name, (15th most popular in England in 1998, first year I could find data for) so I don’t see any reason to jump to “his parents must

I personally wouldn’t be shocked if Chechnya is a just a pilot for something the Kremlin plans to roll out more widely in Russia. Chechnya has been pretty much crushed by the Kremlin, and if Moscow didn’t at least give tacit approval to this, it wouldn’t be happening.

Back when the Harry Potter books first came out, they weren’t really being read by adults. I suspect it’s just a coincidence.

Apparently sometimes the remains kept in lead sarcophagi liquefy and turn into a black substance known as “coffin liquor”, which has a tendancy to spray all over when disturbed.

I read in another article that the reason they are leaving the lead sarcophagi alone is that sometimes the remains within liquefy and turn into something called “coffin liquor”. If the sarcophagi then break, the liquor comes spraying out.

Sounds about right. Especially if the historical personage was illiterate.

I’m not so sure Donald Trump even acknowledges he has a problem.

I once saw a documentary where they said that after the Windsors fled Paris for Spain in advance of the German invasion, he tried to send the maid back to Paris to pick up the bedsheets they had forgotten.
