@Antiterra: Beast Rider was being developed by Secret Level before being acquired by Sega. Sonic 4 is being developed by Dimps, a 3rd party company in Japan (with oversight by Sonic team.) And Yakuza is developed internally in Sega Japan.

that was great to read Mike. I had a similar experience when I played Starcraft for the first time 10 years ago against some friends. There were about 8 of us at this local computer lounge, my buddy worked there and got us free time on the network, (colored imacs with single button mice), and I was the only one who

Wow, it's like Ikaruga meets Mighty Flip Champs. I think this looks pretty cool, graphics are a bit crappy but that won't keep me from playing.

@zåɳzißarlegeпȡ: Yeah, Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects was EA at their best with the Marvel license! And it was RAD!

To everyone comparing this to Neverhood, give Erik and Anders a break. Neverhood came out 14 years ago, FOURTEEN, and in that time not another clay based point and click adventure has been made (to my knowledge) so yeah I would say it is fairly unique. Not completely and utterly, not the first of its kind, but

@pretsal: I rarely like something where there is stuff open to interpretation, but Inception is the exception for me. As for Lost, after 6 years of getting to know tiny facets and being handed minute facts time and time again, to not have a concrete explanation is in a lot of ways unfair.

I think it is different with games where unique actions within the game lead to a unique ending. But the multiple endings usually have a concrete conclusion all their own, even though you know different outcomes could have come from different choices. The same can be said for any movie, "If she just would have

Hmm, it looks darker than what they showed at E3.

I'm really looking forward to Tekken X Street Fighter more for some reason.

@Lysergio: I LOVED T&C. It was the best. I was pretty awful at the surfing though.

"however, when the moment-to-moment outcomes of that behaviour could not be predicted by the creators, they are emergent narrative elements, effectively created by the computer."

@Jadeous: and in doing so you performed an action which would fall in the "player" section of the diagram.

@Baraka_Obama: You should be sorry for equating a soap opera created in the 80's using a similar title to a comic book created in the 50's.

GamerBee may have eliminated Wong, but let's not forget it was Vangief who sent Wong to the loser bracket.

@lankist: It is different. It’s like saying fishing and farming are the same thing because the end product is food.

The mutual exclusivity is so infuriating (amongst other things). Anyone who attends comic con can't also be a faithful christian? How moronic.

@Eridani: Most game jobs are not project specific. When working at the company you talk about, hear about, or see prototyping for the next project. It is rare that people are hired to a company expecting to be let go when the project is over.

"cleaning house" isn't uncommon. I don't agree with hiring more people than you need to hit a deadline and have to let people go, but I have seen it happen a few times and often it is the people who aren't "working out" or who are not a good fit (as you can only find out while actually working on a project) let go in
