Although, shades of Mark VIII too.

I.... Like it?

Assuming this is based on the new Chinese-market Ford Edge?

This naming scheme inspires

This right here. A plugin hybrid in addition to the tiny engine would make for a very compelling package.

Or at least offer a hybrid option to get efficiency up if that’s the goal.

For long hauls, sure, but a lot of trucks make trips under 500 miles, and could do what Pepsi is doing with their current EV truck fleet and just charge at their own facilities on either end, which right now use 100% renewables.

Can’t speak for what chemistry they’re using in the Tesla Semi batteries, but the newer Tesla 4680 cell in the base Model Y underwent stress testing and predicted a 2 million mile lifespan, and the LFP (Lithium Iron, as opposed to Lithium Ion) used in the base Model 3 made in Asia has a predicted lifespan of 100 years.

It can also be the markings.  There are markings on the lenses and the elements themselves.  If they dont carry the required DOT marks and only the E ones, that would force a recall.

$0.15 to charge at home. DCFC stations charge like $0.45 here in California. I’m guessing truck stops charges will be similar. So triple the fuel cost -> $610,000 + 250,000 purchase = $860,000 vs $560,000 diesel

True, but if the drivetrain only lasts half the life time and it’s 60K$ to replace (Batteries, motors), or more then those savings might not offset it enough strictly from a financial perspective and those subsidies won’t last that long...which is still better than having Diesel pollution so no arguments there. But

Was expecting the Mirage to be #1 on this particular list.

Living in the middle of New England keeps us hemmed in a bit. I went to Maine and cape cod on my old triumph legend, up into the white mountains on my bandit...but the Concours 14 stretched my legs to NJ, then the Adirondacks, and finally all the way to Florida. I ride 2 up with my better half, so it’s mostly up to

I agree with this sentiment 1000%, years ago when I was younger (and perhaps a bit more reckless) I set out on a 6000M journey on a Ducati Monster, which you might recognize as NOT a touring bike, more-or-less on a whim. I started in Kansas City and headed to San Diego, up Highway 1 to Portland then back via Idaho,

I remember when my brother rode a motorcycle to college back in 1979. It was a Honda CB175 and he rode it 230 miles to the college (my sisters carried his luggage in their car, though). A couple years later he stepped up to a CB400 (Four).

The “just take the trip” is such good advice.

Not strictly true; the Israeli Merkava MBT can carry a few passengers. And the Swedish Stridsvagn 103 was pretty lightly armored, relying on sloping and size for protection.

This is really more like a van or a small bus, it just happens to be dressed up to look like an SUV. I’m not mad about that.

That interior is pretty inexcusable, but otherwise this actually doesn’t look bad IMO. The G35 drives well to begin with and is mostly disregarded these days because their owners tend to be kind of annoying, but the car itself is good. I wouldn’t pay anywhere near 110k for it, but I’d take this over a lot of other

Very important that it has underglow. Because a car this subtle needs it and if there is automotive trend that will never go out of style, that’s the one. And what is a new engine without a cold air intake to suck hot air out of the tiny engine bay? No self respecting cars and coffee enthusiast would be caught with a
