It’s not Mazda good, but it’s pretty good.

On the one hand, he was verbally told not to do it, and in general saying anything negative about your employer in public will come back to bite you, so shocked/notshocked here. On the other hand, it shouldn’t be that way. Too much weight (both for survival - health insurance and the like - and personal identity) is

“Tesla warns employees not to publicly reveal potentially dangerous flaws of vehicles” sounds more like the start of a very interesting story.

I had a rental Encore on the Big Island in Hawaii as an “ free upgrade” (they were out of Sparks) from Hertz. Really proved its worth on the little off roading I did to get to Kekaha Kai State Beach. Saw a lot of cars get stuck or rip trim off while the Buick just cruised on through the mostly destroyed road. Pretty

I’m actually shocked they are still selling the original Encore alongside the GX. The GX is a vastly better looking vehicle. Don’t know if it’s that much better to drive, but I see them everywhere.

they really are a great appliance car for the city, especially with the fit being discontinued

That’s a shame, I know a some women with Encores that really like the size and ride height. They don’t want bigger vehicles, but don’t like the feeling of being in a low car around so many other larger vehicles on the road - especially the #1 selling in the country with hoods higher than regular car rooftops.

The roots blower on a Detroit Diesel is not for making more power (it costs power to turn it), it’s for crankcase scavenging. As they are two strokes, they won’t run properly without the blower. Nothing to blow the exhaust out. It’s a low pressure/high volume sort of arrangement, and the intake ports in the cylinder

The Aurora was a god damned sleeper of a car.  I will die on this hill.

Most things say that 250 were made, all in 1999. But its production runs over six years, until 2005.”

The Aurora 4.0 V8 also had a variant that was used as a racing engine for IndyCar in the late 90’s. In race form running on methanol the engine made 650 hp. Some articles suggest it was capable of over 700 hp, thanks to its high redline (over 10,000 rpm). Cadillac LMP prototypes used a twin turbo version of this

No slide show!

One of my colleagues has a Camaro. I rode in it once. Yeah, like wearing a baseball hat pulled down over your eyes.

I will always be here to represent the Subie Squad

Fun is relative. Get an awd prius enjoy actually being able to drive your vehicle without worrying about gas prices at the pump. The acceleration on a prius is not exciting but it tracks amazingly well on the road. Is very stable at high speeds and is lightweight and very sprightly in the corners.

The Prodigy prototype currently sits in the Sarasota Classic Car Museum in Florida, covered in dust in a humid room :/

The C-3 was also built as a coupe, and my grandfather was lucky enough to get to work on one a few years ago. Unfortunately I was taking pics on a potato.

Yeah, and in a side issue, I’m really a bit surprised they’re even looking at sedans anymore, with pursuit-rated SUVs available. The city cop around the block just recently turned in his Crown Vic for, briefly, a Charger, then an Explorer. That sort of thing is what I mostly see coming into fleets now.

I can’t blame them, but it’s not because EV’s blatantly suck. Tesla does not offer a pursuit-rated package and there is a ton of development and optimization to suit these vehicles to pursuit duty. From seats to wheels, to weight-carrying capability, to prep for upfitting with electronics, and so much more, these

I’m down for a good cop-bashin’ session as much as anybody, but I suspect the Spokane cops have valid points.
