Avalons are spectacular, but it should be noted that you can get the Continental without the extremely adjustable seats. The base, front-wheel drive Lincolns are solid, roomy and elegant.

It wasn’t power that got them banned, it was the strength and weight of their bodies. The big Chrysler products of that era had seriously overbuilt frames.

No. That is not what the article states. The $30-an-hour figure came from a Lyft spokesperson and only factored in BOOKED hours... not all the hours spent waiting for a fare. The article says some drivers report making minimum wage, or less. Federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, though in select places it can go

Thank you.

You are correct.

Nailed it. The Encore with the higher-output (153-horsepower) engine seems perfect for her. It’s extremely quiet, well-built, and does 0-60 nearly a second faster than the HR-V.

There are still nice looking RVs and trailers on the market -

Agreed. I knew Cosmos were special, but never appreciated just how well-proportioned and good looking they were, inside and out.

Silicon Valley... and yes.

You deserve a star... and an Impulse RS.

Those are all good choices, though the Q50 might not work since she doesn’t like modern Infinitis. I’d also add the Regal GS... 5.4 seconds to 60, fantastic heated/ventilated/massaging seats, and class-topping luggage capacity.

Car and Driver hit 60 in 4.9 seconds in the Type R. Both the Honda and the Mini have 306 horses, but the latter’s all-wheel-drive lets it put power to the ground more effectively, and that probably accounts for its slight edge in acceleration. The Clubman’s styling is easier on the eyes than the Type R, but overall

The diesel Cruze got 37-38 mpg in mixed driving, and 52 on the highway in Car and Driver’s real world testing.

For a line that good, you should definitely be forgiven.

A modern six-cylinder diesel would make a nice swap. The transmission is stout enough to handle the torque, and it’d be great to get close to 30 mpg in a vehicle this size.

Those are spectacular seats!

Matadors look even better in solid colors, without the vinyl roof.

An electric crate motor would be as great as your screen name.

Don’t worry too much. Those slant sixes are famously durable.

Damn, that’s stunning.
