It's quite unreliable. One second it could be downloading/streaming at full speed, the next it slows to 5.7 kb/s. Streaming is a headache.

Well that is an interesting tip. I'll have to try that one. I've also heard that utorrent 3 will have torrent streaming.

And, say, when the new version of Ubuntu came out and the HTTP/FTP servers were swamped, BitTorrent was the fastest way to download the iso.

I hate streaming. I'd rather just download an episode in a few minutes than have it stream and have to buffer and watch ads (although I don't really mind Hulu's ads). BitTorrent for me!

That's not a good reason to give up! Look up people with the same problem as you, or with the same laptop to see if you can fix it.
