Personal attacks aside? This guy bases all of his arguments on personal attacks. Just read a couple of his blog posts.

@bdinger: The third city considered for the attack was Kyoto. I think there was somthing like 2 mil people living there at the time.

@Arken: I read a fascinating one last year called Uranium: War, Energy and the Rock That Shaped the World. It followed the mining, building and testing of the uranium used in the little boy bomb.

Though I think that this attack was necessary in order to avoid what would have been the most horrific invasion ever attempted, for both the Japanese populous and the allied troops, I pray that mankind never has to endure such a devastating event from a single weapon ever again.

@truthtellah: I agree with the OP but I think he was motivated by the numerous other comments on how the attack was unjustified.

@Mark 2000: If everyone was a billionaire the cost of road cleaning/paving would go up, that's all. Just because past a certain wage point the supply of labor decreases does not mean that it will go to zero. And if their were't any rich people who would own the paving company or the waste removal service? What
