I play games on my phone while I'm commuting or having a smoke, if I'm at home or traveling I play console games. Seriously, I can't ever imagine an iOS game that will make me rush home early from work, order a pizza because I don't have time to cook and then play for the next 6 to 8 hours.

I always preferred Next Gen myself. ToS was good, but didn't have the same depth as later series.

I haven't encountered a lot of Android apps, but there are some really poorly designed ones on iOS as well. It's all about the devs; if you don't take the time to make your app look nice, I'm not so sure about it's functionality.
