Just FYI Cain as an eternal wanderer/warrior though time was done earlier and probably better by Karl Wagner in his “Kane” series - good books to pick up and available on e-text format. This is my favorite take on Kane - stories mostly sword and sorcery but might be in the dimmest past or some ancient future...
