Hey, remember when the PlayStation was just a grey rectangle? and then layer it became a white, rounded rectangle? and the controllers were also grey and white respectively?
This just looks like a PS2 and PSOne Hybrid, and boy am I fine with that.

Well, in the case of my father, who is an older, liberal white male, I think this might have honestly been the first time he even _saw_ one of these videos. He does not regularly watch or read the news, but ever since being stuck at home for the pandemic, he has been watching CNN for an hour or so per day to try and…
So what exactly is the alternative? We just all wait until someone can come up with an all-powerful AI that can monitor all communication and selectively censor objectionable content? Or we keep waiting for corporations to find some magical solution that somehow makes it all go away?
Honestly, if anything, we need to push usage of voice chat harder. Women play games. A lot of women play games. So do LGBTQ+ people, and people with “non-standard voices”. And the fact is, by sheer numbers, the stable, non-assholeish people outnumber the manbaby rage children by a pretty huge margin, and yet we have…
I realize I am just screaming into the void at this point, but every single comment along this line is just demonstrating a catastrophic lack on knowledge about what was actually just shown and tech demos in general.
The Kotaku comments never fail to disappoint in terms of people who think they are technically literate about game tech, while at the same time completely missing every relevant piece of data in a rush to prove how smart and jaded they are. Never change internet, never change.
Well, even if this is just a mixture of an update from an old logo video, with a new branding name and some obvious inspiration from the Marvel Studios ident, it does clearly illustrate one thing for me, which is that PlayStation has vastly more recognizable mascots then Xbox does.
In that case, you should never read a book series, or watch a multi-part movie, or serialized television, or really any media that is not served in a complete form instantly, because none of them are “complete products” by your definition.
Except we knew even LESS about Sephiroth at this point in the original game, and Zack was introduced with exactly zero explanation there as well. The original game was “newbie unfriendly” in literally exactly the same way.
Honestly, this is a pretty “traditional” FF7 experience. I don’t think you or anyone else are lost because you had to have played the original; obviously, it means something different to those of us who played the game in 97, but being lost about who Zack is, for instance, is extremely true to the original game. The…
I will not be the least bit sad when they eventually fold. It’s such a dumpster fire of a company that I’m still dumbfounded why people work there when they treat the employees with clear unabated disdain.
I got my pre-ordered deluxe edition from amazon on the 12th, after the shipping date had flip flopped between a big old shrug, on-time, and on the 14th.
A lot of what I am seeing around the internet is that, like with every remake ever, purist are physiologically incapable of enjoying anything. I have just as much “history” with the game as anyone else who played it in ’97. I played the spinoffs, I bought Advent Children day of release, I went trick-or-treating as…
Part two is definitely already in production. I can’t link to sources because I super don’t feel like digging through my internet history for a comment, but It’s pretty likely that we’re going to see Part 2 relatively quickly.
Looks like USB-C
Considering how toxic industrial scale used game sales are to the industry overall.... I’m not really sure anyone is going to be particularly sad if GameStop itself is a casualty of this virus.
I miss EB Games.
Well I can’t speak for France, but generally speaking, out of tax revenue. Usually you have both higher personal and business taxes, but also by not having stupid policies like we do here in the US that give out massive subsidies to energy companies for no reason, and by not wasting luscious amounts of money on vanity…
It’s a converted hardshell backpack, it’s not even air tight to begin with. Even if the pump was completely non-functional and the air filter fully blocked, it would still be “safe” - it would not be comfortable, but people are staggeringly over-estimating the danger here.
There is clearly an air pump and a filter cartridge in this picture. Even without the pump running, air will still flow through the filter and into the chamber, it just won’t be a positively-pressurized environment anymore.
For.... what exactly? Like, what is the specific charge here? Child endangerment? Because that’s absolutely no way to win that argument, considering this just appears to be a plastic case with some commercial filters installed on it, whose entire purposes it to... let air in, making this thing about as dangerous as a…
