Most studies about rape accusations tend to be made across years though. I also believe the national average in the US is 2-8%, but some states report it at 5-10%. I don't think it's as high as 100k for every million, but it could still be 100k for every 5m over a decade.
2-8% in some cases, 5-10% in others. That means there are probably thousands of false rape accusations within millions of ones that weren't. That's not exactly "As statistically common as meteor strikes." Thought I agree are not a reason to dismiss rape accusations, however... Neither one needs to be taken lightly.
