No magic formula indeed, but you should know what you are doing wrong. Otherwise, you’ll keep getting rejected and you’ll never know why.

Maybe they don’t owe it to you, but unless they tell you why, you never know what’s actually wrong with you and you continue making the same mistakes in the next endeavours. I prefer people telling me why.
