3/10 and 9/10 both feel wrong to me. It is a 7/10 game, which is fine if you like that sort of game. I'm a fan of a certain type of third-person "God of War" style game and if it isn't broken I'll enjoy it. Dead Island isn't a great game, but if you like first person hack-and-slash it will be enjoyable to you.
