In UK sizing, which is a much more consistent system and generally offers more options for DD+ bras, GG comes next. However, a US G is generally equivalent to a UK F or FF. The UK system goes AA, A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, K, KK, L, etc., while the US system is all over the place depending on

I guess it's a good thing this isn't an article on the totality of the problems and challenges facing the Detroit Police Department, then.

What kind of Puritan shit is that?

Generally bras will measure out to the band size when they are stretched, which make sense as it's the elastication (is that a word?) that's providing the support. My 28-band bras measure 22-24" unstretched. If your ribcage measures less than 36 inches, smaller bands probably feel too tight because the cup size is too

FWIW, the way bra sizing works it doesn't make sense to identify breast size by cup without reference to band. A "DD" cup is not an absolute measure of volume; rather, a 38DD cup has the same volume (but not the same shape) as a 36E, 34F, 32FF, 30G, or 28GG. There's some really good information here with handy-dandy

Just make sure you're remembering double letters in the UK system; after DD, it goes E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, etc. I would be surprised if your measurements were really had up to five inches of variability, which is what G-J measures out to.

Have you tried a 32D, 30D, or 30DD? Those are all possibilities with those measurements, and if your cup is too small your band is always going to feel too small as well. Have you measured yourself according to the guide at r/ABraThatFits? There's a slightly different method of measurement that gets more accurate

That survey is full of shaming language (do you have "deflated" breasts? "Oversize upper breast tissue"? I'm sorry, HerRoom, I must have missed when we voted on how full on top my breasts should be), and while I don't know about the results I'm wary of anything that claims to know what works for your shape based on a

Just do it! Try eBay, the Listings section of Bratabase, or r/BraSwap for cheaper options. It's so worth it. If 32H fits, that means your current bras are SIX cup sizes off! Ouch! (Oh, and ignore your US size. Generally US retailers that cater to the DD+ market will use UK sizing anyway.)

For what it's worth, a "C" or "D" cup isn't actually a valuable way to describe cup sizes. Because cup size is proportional to band size, a 28C will have a vastly different cup volume from a 42C. Cup volume is equivalent (although usually cup shape isn't) between bras one band up and one cup down, so a 28G (for

That bra is all kinds of not fitting.

Me too! Not bears, but usually some kind of panther or wild boars or vicious dog-wolf hybrid living in the backyard and scratching at the door. My mother says it means I'm a repressed agoraphobic.

Nope, he was King George. The brother was Edward.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. You know male primogeniture has been essentially eliminated, right?

I don't know if it's fair to characterize this person primarily as a radfem. She sounds like she could benefit from counseling.

Oh yes, because I am not aware of specific "urban anarchist communities" in a city hundreds of miles from me I must be utterly ignorant and need your encouragement to read. Thank you, "emmagoldman."

I'm eating vegan frozen yogurt right now—have you tried cultured coconut milk? I just stick it in the freezer for a couple of hours. Tastes pretty close to the real thing—at least as much as I can remember.

I don't know much about Detroit—if there are really enough anarchist communities of native Detroiters springing up there to form a movement, hey, good for them.

"The prototype for urban anarchist community?" I don't know, something about that rubs me the wrong way. Maybe because all of the "urban anarchists" I know are white kids who think there's something inherently radical about living in a struggling city and growing tomatoes. I'm probably being way too assuming

Explain.
