It’s not even the impossibility of imaging an alternative to capitalism, it’s imaging a slightly different version of the capitalism we have today.

It’s easier and more plausible for people to envision society outright coming to an end than it is for people to envision a society with a different mode of economic production beyond capitalism.

What strikes me is how many of the same people that regularly decry the dangers and evils of SOCIALISM — which they usually conflate with COMMUNISM in that they think everybody will get the same paycheck — and then without batting an eye will whine about how paying college athletes will ruin everything and would be a

I know these media people are paid to carry water, but there are so many others who just cannot possibly conceive this world where college athletes get paid.

Another funny thing about the article is that Aaron Judge seems to be laying the groundwork for a potential “heated gaming moment” excuse

Also, you don’t form a union because your boss is an asshole. You do it because your company is owned by The Chernin Group and collective bargaining is going to offer you a lot more protection than a real nice boss.

Just another tech douche bro proving he isn’t really qualified at what he says he is and that reward for merit, knowledge and real skills is dead in America.

Meanwhile...every other candidate not running a campaign with union staff:

You completely misinterpreted my final sentence but go off king

Look, we’ve still got like, seven months until the primaries even begin and nearly a year until they’re over. There will be precisely 90 trillion stories in that newscycle. If some voter nine months from now is not voting Bernie because of a seemingly mild labor flare up that probably ends amicably, they are either

If other campaigns want to release what their workers are making, they’re welcome to do so. They’re also welcome to recognize their union if its workers choose to form one. But they has not happened on either count.

I agree it could be a bad look for the campaign, and this needs to be sorted out as soon as possible, for everyone’s sake. The workers need a fair go and from what it sounds like, negotiations are taking place and seem to be going well. The whole thing may have been leaked by the union to pressure management to

Lol. Most campaigns don’t have this kind of negotiation. Most camps don’t have a fucking Union.
