Yeah. The UAE lets both men and women drive. And of all the Gulf States, they probably have the most progressive outlook on life. Which is why it is kind of turning into the Switzerland of the Gulf. Lots of banking, entertainment, and so on. Great place to visit.

This whole thing sucks. I certainly understand the RR driver being freaked out by people surrounding his car, esp with a kid in the car.
