Couldn’t help noticing the guy in the middle of the article image gives me Timothy Olyphant vibes. My brain then progresses to “why can’t we have Olyphant in an adventure role like this?” - “he’s kind of too goofy” - “But he’d be a perfect “Dirk the Daring if they made a Dragon’s Lair show/movie.” (that animated video

That price is agreeable since going with my family to the theater is that times 5 minimum. I’ve always wanted that and am willing to pay that premium to watch new releases on my home projector.
The limited window being on a weeknight when my kids just started school probably won’t fly though.

Yes, I’m right there with you again, as I always preferred this FF if I ever did a foldable phone.
But are you complaining about the screen-size when it’s open? I mean, that’s the point of this phone, right? Small in the pocket, but unfolds to big to get the most out of the screen for visuals. Then fold back down to

I don’t even think the bezel is all that game-changing in terms of usefulness. It’s -neat- and a satisfying option to have, so i got that one.

with a 2x optical zoom”

The problem is they decrease the thickness by making the battery smaller - not the direction I want these to go.

This is what everyone said when laptop screens started to get shiny vs matt. “I can’t deal with the glare!” Yet that is a worse problem than this that people live with all the time.

Yeah but people stream their gaming rigs to their mobiles all the time. I can play all my PC games on my phone via Parsec - if I wanted- and streaming the games is just a little more taxing than watching a video so uses up waay less battery on my phone than playing games locally.

Yup - I love my Buds Pros, but they definitely had problems with staying in my ears when I first got them. Swapped the eartips with some sticky xednafits and they don’t go anywhere now unless I’m chewing on stuff (when I’m eating, they seem to work themselves out of my ear canals due to my jaw movement).

YES I miss swappable batteries, too. We were probably together complaining on these comment sections when all the phones started moving away from that.

“portable battery bank....it’s big and it’s bulky...tugging on the USB-C connector

YESSSS!!!! I love all the Star Wars VR games - I would have bought the Quest 2 just for these titles alone.

From CNET: “The watches can also quick charge, gaining 10 hours of battery life on a 30-minute charge”
Fast charging makes your complaint moot. I can wear it to sleep at night for tracking that and still charge enough while I get ready in the morning each day.

I’m talking in general, this has historically been how it worked - not the recent craziness due to chip shortages.

We’re on the same page. I’ve had the chance and budget to get any of the folds but instead went S20Ultra then S21 Ultra this last generation because of the cameras being superior to what they put on the folding phones. I don’t like that they take features away on the foldables but charge more - not what I want.

So for everyone who signs up for this - there’s a robot avatar somewhere IRL they are controlling on a ride-on mower, right?

I’m all for this - there needs to be more manufacturers making foldable devices so that prices can go down and durability and quality improves.

I have a friend who just started watching Person of Interest and I just started watching Evil and both of us had already watched the other show.

It sucks for both of us, because he is going from Evil where Michael Emerson (center-pic with the glasses) is a reeeeaaaally evil antagonist that you hate and he’s taking

Are we talking about only “gaming on the bus” mobile or can this mean “bring in my bag and game away from home” mobile?

I like it in that it’s more grippy than my SNPro 30 - but using the phone with a clip always felt awkward since I’ve always had the bigger flagship phones.
