I prefer to finger my balls over the thumb type. Also, wireless is not necessary because I have a keyboard/mouse tray on my home and office desks that do cable management. I never have to worry about a battery except for my portable mouse.

This is the RZ line which has the higher end caps and a 3 year warranty to back it. The TX-NR676 you linked to at BB only has a 2 year warranty and the Amazon price for that model is always $350, unlike this one that’s $100 off.

I hate how there aren’t any reliable 3rd party dock options than the official one.

Wait, so if I have Alexa enabled on my phone - will this will compete when responding to voice commands?

“somehow managed to cast four stuntmen who were capable of staging pretty good kung-fu fights”

My wife just mentioned it would be cool to have a Studio Ghibli game and the rest of us looked at her like she didn’t know we had Ni No Kuni. Then she said a similar game like Kingdom Hearts where you could play within the worlds of Studio Ghibli properties like : Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Totoro, Ponyo,

How about the conflict between playing on the intimate 35" G-sync in my office or the glorious 144" projector screen from my couch.

Eventually, I’d probably replace my TCP Connected lightbulbs with these. TCP shut down their cloud servers that their hub phoned home to, but the lights can still be controlled locally - and most importantly continues to work w/ my Vera hub and Amazon Echos via HA Bridge as a go-between. Would be nice to worry about 1

Wrong question - should be more about what would make me still give them money, even though I avoid going to the movie theater since I installed my own projector and screen (and I live 2 blocks from a nice theater). All the money I saved in movie tickets and concessions went towards upgrading my home theater setup.

What

Even though we bought a house that’s 2 blocks from a theater, we rarely go to the movies now - and when we venture out of the house for movies, it is a trip to another town that has a real IMAX/3D theater for us. Best decision was when my wife let me install a projector and 144" screen in our home theater many years

I don’t know - is it like when I call the devices Echo/Echo Dots and my kids insist they’re little “Alexas”?

Honestly, I haven’t gotten anything that’s Zigbee, yet - I’ve been kinda looking for something to show up that I could play around with it, but I’ve gotten all my needs met w/ Z-Wave already.

This is like the virtual snowglobe live wallpaper I use on my Android phone. Through the years, the best parts of my personal phone preference of Android are showing up on my iPhone that I use for work.

That cost less than what my Amazon Echo originally cost. I got my VeraPlus when it was on sale for only $100 - that’s nothing when I think about my time saved from hassling with lesser/flakey/slower/limited products that still are dependent on the cloud and are less guaranteed to work with my existing setup.

Nah, for the functionality this gives, I’m not going to buy another hub just to add “buttons” or for every other little thing I add to my home control - which is why I think this thing is backwards. I already have wifi, zwave, and zigbee that I can and should be able to buy “buttons” for.

My VeraPlus does both Zigbee AND Zwave, so... <sunglasses>.

I’m glad you made this suggestion as you saved me the trouble, lol. At least a Dash button connects to the home’s wifi instead of being dependent on your phone to be present w/ the bluetooth on.

“ that connects to your smartphone”

Oh snap, that takes me back - I’ll see your MythTV and raise with Snapstream (which eventually became BeyondTV).
