This is what frustrates me when people say thing like “east-coast, elite liberals live in a bubble.” Ummmm, no. It’s these people like your dumbass co-worker who feel entitled to live in a bubble. Would you rather have civil rights for minorities? Equal pay for women? Do you want gay marriage to stay legal? Do you want air that you can breath without choking? Do you want cops to be held accountable if they break the law? Do you want a strong social safety net? Do you want there to be an American middle…

Well, which would you rather have? Your principles, or some control over the direction this country is headed in? Because you don’t get both.

I was just telling my friend (who used to live in NC and now doesn’t - we were saying, basically, “Thank God you don’t live there anymore”) that we Dems need a leader who’s going to start busting some kneecaps. We need a fighter. We cannot allow ourselves to get run over anymore.

There’s a difference between standing up to someone and bullying them. The Democrats have just been allowing themselves to be steamrolled. I’m not saying play dirty, but, FFS, they need to get MAD.

Yea, I also feel like people who want an open space “so the whole family can be together” don’t realize how annoying their family really is.
