Woke up early today and I just felt compelled to finally try out Magic Lantern firmware for Canon cameras. I installed it on my T2i and found all kinds of features I wasn’t expecting.
I didn’t intend to go down this road today, but I’m glad I did.
Contax Zeiss lenses are really favored a lot in the dslr film community! For stills I have no issue with Sony but video is less malleable in post so that is the reason I prefer Canon’s colors.
I understand why people like to justify their choices with camera format, but I never understood why some DSLR people are simply too high and mighty to admit that mirrorless cameras have come a long way and are now feasible options when selecting a camera. I just recommended an A7 to my coworker (BLASPHEMY!), since he…
Hot engines on a cold evening. A B-1 Lancer takes off into the dusk from Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX. I could have done with a 300mm lens, as it was probably close to a mile away when I took this shot. However, when the pilot lit the afterburners at the north end of the runway, he was probably about 200 yards away. I…
Hokitika Gorge, on the west coast of the South Island of New Zealand. 8.5 seconds of exposure at ISO200 and f/18 at 16mm.
Hi Folks -
This remarkable photograph was taken in 1966 by Neil Leifer. The camera, suspended above the ring before the fight, was triggered remotely and captures the moment of victory. Leifer considers it the best photo he ever took, and says that it is the only photo from his 40-year career that is hanging in his house. Leifer…
This is the picture that’s made me consider it! (Photo credit to Klyuen)I love the way it renders in a 3d-ish type way and the colors are awesome. They run about $550 mint used, plus $100 for a leicaist close focus adaptor, it only comes out to about $650 which is about what I would feel comfortable spending. I know…
Been a while since I’ve posted stuff. School’s in the way and haven’t been able to really go out to take some pictures. I have managed to compile two shots I’ve enjoyed since my last post, however. Enjoy!
Some days you forget you live in the downtown area of a major city and that things like this are roughly a fifteen minute walk away.
Great Big Sea is awesome.
I have one of these. When I have time for film, its my favourite.
I’m going to hijack my own thread, here: You have a 58/1.2? Did I know this already? Jesus, that thing must be friggin yuuuge!
We went to Mt. Davis today, the highest point in the state of Pennsylvania. And despite the spectacular view from the observation tower at the top, my favorite picture from the visit was this flower. I’m no botanist, so I’ll call it a daisy.
I’m going with this one. I don’t have a lot of reflection pictures. This one I really like the colours reflecting off the lake. It changes them just a little from the colour in the sky, and adds more to the picture I feel.
Guess who’s going to recycle old pictures once again? This guy !
