For the most part, the campus tours are a bit detached from actual life at UVa. (I wanted to say something about the students that lead the tours, but it'd be a pretty broad, unfair generalization, so I'm going to skip that...) Just don't go more than 10 over and you should be fine. If you want to drive more than 10 over, commute in NoVA at 5am. Though I did see two people pulled over today... I'm not quite sure how fast they were driving, but the cops seem to let 15 over pass during rush hour so I imagine they were having a fun time.
