What does this even mean?

I agree with you about spaying and neutering. My family has always adopted, and we’ve always practiced that. And I’m aware of the stray problem in other parts of the world; I’ve seen it while traveling.

On its own, it reads like common sense — but that’s why I included the other paragraphs, to show that it’s not just the commodification of animal life that PETA objects to; it’s the “international pastime of domesticating animals.” If they stopped at advocating for the closure of puppy mills and other measures to

Wait, do you think they should have been fixed because your dog was born in a bad situation and needed to be rescued by you, or do you think they should have been fixed because domestic dogs should just go extinct?

I guess it depends on how scientifically you’re using the word “breed.” I agree that selective breeding for physical appearance without a concern for animal health, is problematic and should be stopped. However, PETA’s taking shots at the entire “international pastime of domesticating animals,” which is far broader.

Ironically, PETA opposes the entire concept of pets. For the organization, adopting from shelters is a temporary measure to use to reduce the number of pets in the world:

Colorado’s in the minority there — the only other states that allow concealed carry on campuses are Utah and Idaho (source). Other states have some kind of restrictions, or leave it up to the individual school

Because it’s against the law to bring a gun into a school area in Georgia, as it is in most states?

This sounds like some hippie nonsense.

Literally the opposite of an Officer and a Gentleman.

hala fuck yeah.

Gonna be totally honest: I completely disagree with headscarves and the ideals they are supposed to represent for women. Yes I do find them harmful.

I'd also recommend fans of the original film to try and get their hands on "The Connection" (whose original French-language title was "La French"), which came out last year in France and is apparently at some US festivals. It's got Jean Dujardin and tells the story from the other side of the Atlantic. Much more of a

Wow. That is an insanely thorough wiki page. I especially like, “To learn about Taylor’s current boyfriend, please read Current love interest.”

Does she name names, though? I mean, or is it mostly just conjecture based on the timing of her songs and the photographs that are taken of the men she goes out with. I know she had that one “Dear John” song, and then “Style” is a pretty clear reference, but I can’t think of any time that she’s explicitly said she was

Just a thought for the deeply disapproving in the comments here: some of us whom you’ve judged and treated disdainfully for PDA would actually rather our displays of affection not be so public. However, thanks to lingering prejudice within our homes (whether it be homophobia or just general small-mindedness) we

I'm going to assume, based on the number of times you've posted this comment, that you're feeling aggrieved and also righteously justified by the lack of repsonse to what must be Super Important Videos... but none of these links work, bro.

Maybe we can't judge the scene itself, but can't we judge our contemporary prurient interest in these sorts of scenes?

Right, but what does it say about us that we, living in the 21st century, are drawn to recreating narratives that contain these objectionable elements in them? Why are we compelled to tell this particular story in the first place? I know that judging the events themselves from our perspective is flawed, but I do think

Yeah, I guess it's a question of what "easier" means. I just meant that, financially, the options that a young person has these days to pay for college in ways that don't hugely impact their future are much narrower than they were for a previous generation. My father was also able to go to college by serving in the
