It was bullshit. It looked like a flawless performance until they slowed it WAY down and zoomed in on some tiny part where her skate wasn't at the right angle for one millionth of a second. Then the girl from Japan FALLS during her routine (don't need to slow that one down to see it!) and gets a better score! WTF???

Well that's fine and good but they should have let everyone know how they were going to pick the team BEFOREHAND. How many events do the athletes NOT KNOW how they would be chosen for the US team? The nationals has always been the deciding factor and the selection committee change. They have never done it this way…

Uh, every country does this. You see, when you compete in the Olympics, you're doing it, in part, for your country. It's natural to "flag wave." Or are you a writer for The Onion?
