Photos should be retouched if one needs to superimpose things, or change colors, or manipulate for the sake the purpose of the photo. Changing actresses bodies to make them appear cleaner or more perfect is a dangerous, sexist and (unfortunately) common thing. So I see why Jez paid for the photos.
