I don't know what I want? You know so much about me that you know what I want more than I do? Stop being a patronizing prick.

If it didn't affect other people and wasn't a harm to the smoker, then I'd say "sure, go ahead". But that's just false. Whenever a person's judgment is impaired, it's automatically harmful to him/herself and those around him/her. Your judgment lets you make decisions about what's right and wrong—or, more plainly,…
Except...no. When people's judgement is impaired, that's a danger to themselves and others. And that's why I have a problem with it. Because, despite what you may keep spouting, it's NOT "just their choice that doesn't harm them or others".
I drink a little, but the second I feel a tiny bit tipsy I immediately stop. I make sure I don't impair my ability to think because the few times I have (when I first began drinking at all) I absolutely hated the lack of comprehension.
I don't like when people get drunk, either, so don't worry about my consistency. I don't care if it lasts 2 seconds, the fact is that it impairs your ability to think and make judgments, so that's a bad thing. Does it relax you as well? Yes. But so does, for example, breathing techniques and nonchemical hobbies. And…
I don't think you understand my objection. I don't care HOW LONG it lasts. I care THAT it happens at all. Messing up your ability to think is not a good thing, no matter how briefly.
Who said anything about brain damage or permanence? I know they're temporary; that doesn't make them good. If you're temporarily hallucinating (I know, marijuana doesn't do that, and I'm not saying it is; it's an analogy) is that okay because it's temporary?
Did I say that? No. Stop making stuff up. But the advancements haven't been enough to do what you want, either.
And also impairs memory, learning, higher cognitive function, and your ability to generalize or clearly think more than one thought at a time.
Did you watch the whole video? Impairment of cognitive function, memory, and learning; inability to see the big picture (generalization); can barely think about anything except one thought at a time?
I know what the article talks about. But the inspiration for the article comes from the movies; it's basically "the movies do this, but what would that ever be useful for?" And so I mentioned why the movies do it and the flaws with it. Speaking of worthless commentary, how much is it worth insulting other people's…
What about Tesla? He didn't make any advancements that would allow for large-scale use of all-electric cars with specs comparable to fuel-powered.
I did read the article...what's your point?
Oh. I've never seen that movie, either XD .
I can imagine the editing process on this article...
And let's just all get in our rocket ships and fly to Saturn. Except, wait, that tech doesn't exist yet. And neither does the tech to support your idea on a large scale.
I'm only comparing it to non-police, specifically Hollywood shooters.
...testing incorrectly the first time shouldn't happen at all? Do you understand how science works? Virtually no experiment accounts for every variable the first time it's performed. That's what peer review—which in this case amounts to viewer feedback—is for.
I never saw that episode, so I don't know...but without a CornerShot, neither can anyone else xD.
I don't know about Antennagate, but with Purplegate, it only happens when you photograph a bright light source. If all their testing photos weren't pointed at lights, they wouldn't know. So again, their testing is crap.
