Yes, I know. But even if it has everything you have, you're still a separate entity from it. Your consciousness would live on, but with its own self-awareness separate from your own. It's not like if the avatar experiences something, you would as well automatically. You wouldn't. It's not you, it's just a copy.

I would love to be immortal...but that's not what his vision is. In his vision, you upload your mind into a computer and THAT lives forever. This is not the same thing as your own immortality. It's just a copy of your mind, the same way identical twins have the same DNA but are still two different people.

I made something like this in about 30 minutes the first day of the Olympics. It's very simple (the data is easily scraped from the BBC website). Sure, theirs has a fancier layout and watch list, but that's simple to do as well if I wanted to put in the coding effort. And when the Olympics are over, the site becomes

Apparently we've moved from the 1% to the %1. Now, since % means "percent", which means "per 100", I guess %1=(1/100)*1=1/100=1%. So they're the same.

In other news, the creator of the clock wonders why he's always on time.

I agree. Whenever anyone says anything is "just a theory", I want to choke them. Instead, I simply smile and say, "You're right. It's just a theory. Gravity is just a theory, too. Go fly away." Or, a bit nicer, "Yep, and since germ theory is just a theory, I guess I won't be giving you any antibiotics next time you're

Smallpox.

I agree.

If I had to weight millions of boxes per second for decades before finding one that weighed the right amount, then finally finding it IS a big deal.

Holy crap, 4D porn? So it...time...no, wait...wormholes...no...um....confused.

Take your mind away from one kind of dirty and onto another?

Because...women only speak to other women? Because intergender fraternizing is strictly forbidden? I'm at a loss here...

Or, you know, bring solar generator with me. They did have sun back in the old days, didn't they?

Firstly, I don't think you quite understand the definition of "stereotype"...

In terms of the majority of scientific articles on Wikipedia, you'd be surprised at how in-depth they are. Also consider that if you just go head-first into computer tech, people 200/300 years ago would be totally lost, so a (relatively) simple explanation is much better.

In terms of general stereotypes, gamers tend to be lumped in with console gamers. To the average person, a "PC gamer" is just a WoW nerd, while a "regular gamer" uses consoles.

You have to realize that, for the most part, there are three stereotypes of computer users and there are good reasons for those stereotypes.

Step 1: Download a local copy of all of Wikipedia to a large hard drive.

I don't remember the details, except for one. During the day, pay close attention to things with sharp detail: watches, clocks, human faces, etc. In a dream, these things may seem blurry because they're not important, and once you can train yourself to notice the blurriness, you can induce a lucid dream state.
