A close relative could not be parted from her Dodge Neon. When she passed, it was revealed that she had most of $5 million. Guess there’s a reason she had that much....
The fact that they had the money for a newer ‘vette, and plan to replace it with what will have to be a $150+ at the least full blown supercar, and yet end up with a Versa of all things as your other car can only really mean something is horribly wrong here.
You only have $25k to spare and are buying a new C8 when it comes out? I’d say up your budget to get something YOU want, and then buy a 6 month old used C8 when it comes out. Or talk to your wife. Maybe you actually don’t want a nicer car, but spending $25k on your car and $150k on your wife’s car seems like quite an…
Am I the only one thinking that if you drive a Versa and your wife drives a Vette then your wife is probably cheating on you? I can’t be the only one thinking this.
He said it needs to look decent next to a Corvette. It doesn’t even look good by itself.
Swap your wife with another model while you’re at it since she lets you drive a Versa
That said, if you take road trips often and are ok with GM, I’d pick up a used Buick, a Lacrosse or a Regal, either way.
2012-17 Buick Regal GS. You can get them with AWD or FWD. 2012-15 if you’re lucky had a manual option, but only on FWD. Any model year now should be close too or well under your budget.
Get a Jeep GC. Just as capable, way more comfortable......
No, that is their way of improving profit margins. Don’t put in the extra engineering, people will buy our stuff due to loyalty and an outdated notion of superior reliability. Their reliability has not gone down, they are still fantastic, but others are catching up and surpassing in other areas that also matter.
SAD that Toyota continues to rip off Americans with this dated inefficient truck.......Crappy power trains with a 20 yr old torque less 4cyl. 6spd auto trans with rear drum brakes. Horrible seating position, specially for tall folks with legs splayed out. Even CU bitches about this Toy product......Doubt this minor…
It’s not necessarily how often I move them (probably similar to you, only after my boyfriend drives my car), but the Tacoma’s seating position is legendarily bad and adding a more ways of movement can only help.
The twins comes stock with a chin spoiler, dubbed “trail squeegee”, that hurts approach angle. It can easily be removed to increase approach angle.
I recently rented a new 19 Taco and was not impressed. Power was weak. The trans kept it in the highest gear possible at all times. Brakes were very grabby. The infotainment/nav was awful. Steering was too slow and heavy.
so still just as inefficient as before? Worst in class fuel economy, worst in class horsepower?
Given that the OG Ranger lived for like 20 years, the Taco isn’t old. But times change, yo. Even with low gas prices it’s embarrassing that a Taco can’t get the same MPG as a 5.3 liter Silverado.
So, lipstick on a pig?
So... no actual mechanical changes, then?
Everything I’ve read about these cars is that reliability is horrendous. CP for me.
