I owned a Wrangler in Colorado driving 6 hours to and from College, I understand crosswinds. It’s just not generally a big deal for most people.

I think these would have a “Stronger” cult following if 1) More people knew about them and 2) You could actually keep that triple rotor Wankel engine running. (parts etc)

Except you did. You literally say it was great in the post.

You’re promoting a sport that’s illegal FOR A REASON.

The cops are actually the good guys in this story, not the assholes you wrote about

It was some of the best driving I had ever seen.”

The article inferred that it sucked because the evening was largely unsuccessful, not that it sucked because it’s an asinine thing to do in the first place. That’s the real problem.

It’s not that we don’t cover the street scene at all, it’s that we try not to glorify it. We don’t spend time here extolling the virtues of street drifting here, rather the opposite.

It is a little weird. Here the coverage seems to be that it sucked because it was boring and the cops were a hassle, not that it sucked because it was a sociopathic exercise in risking innocent people’s lives for one’s own enjoyment (or not even that in this case). I personally tend to think that the normal street

a hotmail address.  now that is impressive.

Writing about these future mansalughter-ers is glorifying them. They think look a news publication wants to cover the stupid shit we do we must be doing something right. Don't give them the light of day

Maybe the part where the author said

bullshit. Ballaban. This article completely glorifies morons in stupidly modded cars breaking laws on public streets. you want to expose them? make street racing not seem cool/ them post lots of pics with names faces and plates. then post lots of pictures of them being arrested and having their cars impounded.

I think from the headline he’s saying that particular event sucked..not the type of event.

Is that V6 related to the Nissan VQ, or did Renault have its own unrelated 3-liter V6?

the “let me write this article about it” part

I think its because you tend to justify it by saying it sucked but was also a bit of sarcasm saying “Tom from the Front Street drift crew offered a headline:” then going on to say “That sounds harsh written out like that. It was great and also it fucking sucked.” Its really comes across as sarcasm/he told me to write

What part of never once saying “hey this is a bad idea and nobody should do it” anywhere in the article sounds like you think it’s a bad idea and nobody should do it?

This sounds a lot like the kind of street racing behavior that gets innocent bystanders killed, and that Jalopnik usually takes pains to denounce.

All aerial warfare started because one moron took a service piston on a recon flight and squeezed off a couple of rounds at an enemy plane, also on a recon flight.

“Subaru Foresters are usually associated with sturdy flannel and fording rainy roads.”
