Give him a break. If this GN is the ugliest car he's ever seen, then he probably has also never seen the 1990s before. And I'm not talking about the cars from the '90s, either.
Agreed that an exercise regimen one follows is infinitely superior to one that one does not. I had similar experiences to yours with a few other methods of training, including (ironically) yoga and using machines in a gym.
And dota community isn't as bad as LoL's.
Just to add a little context to that photo, the third man on the podium, Peter Norman, is making the same stand, but did not raise his fist because he thought it would be inappropriate as a white man from Australia. Instead, he wore the badge of the Olympic Project for Human Rights (the white circle on each of their…
Well, we can agree to disagree about the benefits of bodyweight training. I agree that bodyweight training can build some muscle, but I think that in most cases free weights will get stronger faster, and will definitely get you stronger overall. I think the core of any basic strength regimen are the big lifts:…
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to say that just because Yoga is barely exercise doesn't mean it's not a great thing for you to do. Meditation and like activities have real, measurable, positive effects on health and wellness, and yoga is a great way for a lot of people to get into the mindspace.
Of course the injury rate would be through the roof from cold joints and stiff muscles, and there would be a significant dropout rate because that kind of cold is much more difficult to tolerate in even moderately athletic attire than 95F heat is, but at least the science would be more accurate.
By surrounding yourself with people who do bikram yoga, you can likely benefit by comparison. So, qualified yes.
You did not lose weight from yoga.* You lost weight from your diet.
This is not uncommon when you get people on the stand who are used to being surrounded by sycophants. They have no idea how they come off.

I am affordable enough for everyone to have. I am handed down from young parents to their children at the age of majority, and then ruthlessly hooned, and do not break, although I have weird dents and patches of rust everywhere pretty quickly. I have a notable and inexplicable styling choice that is just as weird as…
There are two reasons why I'd immediately announce any Ferrari-related defects. Number one is that it would give me something interesting to write about. But most importantly, it would be exciting to witness unrestrained exuberance among the people who hate my Ferrari. The moment I announce the problem, they'd reply…
This is the visual equivalent of getting ass cancer in your mouth.
Thanks, that actually makes sense now that I think about it. They probably had this exact same tussle when they were designing the exemption for religious non-profits, so it's not surprising that the arbitrage has been regulated out (or at least there appears to be a good faith effort to have done so).
We're still waiting on other specs, like torque and weight, but until then... damn.
Agreed. I'm a Ford guy now, but when I think about trading in and up, the only domestic I look at seriously is Cadillac. Ford makes great middle-market cars, but if they want to keep their buyers as they move up, they've got to start offering something better than they have.
Ford should do something to really distinguish Lincolns. Trying to catch up on the RWD luxury sedan game is going to be extraordinarily difficult, because everyone is chasing the same goal. They should put the resources they're putting into trying to be Cadillac (which, as you noted, is not a breakout financial…
