Debating replacing my CG277s. The new 279Xs are HDR, which my 277s are not, but the 279s aren’t very bright for being HDR. That’s my biggest concern.

EIZO CG277(s) owner here checking in. Outside of not having HDR support these are 9 year old monitors that are still 99 percent color accurate. The bezels are huge, but once that color probe pops out each week people are still kinda blown away that they make monitors that calibrate themselves.

It’s a lot for a single person, but again they have to create a difference in pricing since it’s a first run ‘theatrical’ release that’s now on VOD. This is sort of uncharted territory for sure. I’m hoping more studios do this, I would rather pay 20-25 dollars and see A Quiet Place 2 then wait till summer or fall.

For 20 dollars a lot more than just ONE person can view it. They have to offset the cost. Assuming I’m hanging with my parents a movie in theater would be 20-30 dollars at least for 3 people.
