So what if your goal changes from time to time? Your response seems rather pedantic, considering OP isn’t wrong about the game’s story.

When you’re spending $60+ on a game, an average experience is the last thing anyone wants. Thankfully, when you’re dealing with games like this, a discount is usually right around the corner.
I’m getting somewhat of a Darksiders vibe from your review, which, given who the publisher is, doesn’t surprise me all that much. Something tells me this will be worth it once it receives a steep discount. I enjoyed Darksiders 1-3, but I also waited until each game was discounted by at least 75% before taking the…
And this, folks, is why you should never base your opinion of a game on a review or a short video you might have watched. This “large portion” you’re referring to is not a large portion at all, and by making such an assumption you are missing out on what is arguably one of the most well made entries in the series.
Basing your opinion of the game on walkthroughs you’ve watched via YouTube seems rather foolish. You’re missing out on what is arguably one of the best installments in the series. For the first time in years we were given a Resident Evil that was a genuinely terrifying experience.
I would argue that the Japanese have a tendency to make the vast majority of their stories feel “overwritten.” While I grew up with games like Resident Evil, Metal Gear, and the like, there’s always been this element of absurdity that the Japanese just seem to love and overindulge in. And, to your point, you see that…
I’ll never understand the overly whiny character trope. It’s a trope that never adds anything of substance to a story and, quite honestly, detracts from my enjoyment of whatever show I’m watching. Zenitsu was almost a deal breaker for me, but my cousin told me to stick it out. Still felt wholly underwhelmed by the…
He’s unbearable throughout the entirety of season one. His insufferable personality and incessant whining make it nearly impossible to connect to his character.
I don’t understand the massive hype around Demon Slayer. The animation is great and the soundtrack is serviceable, but everything else is par for the course. I was left feeling very underwhelmed upon finishing season one a few weeks ago.
Trial and error? You sure you were playing Eternal? The platforming was mostly straightforward. The only time it was ever trial and error, and it wasn’t often, was if you were going for a specific secret that required you to go off the beaten path.
LOL. This has to be one of the most laughable posts I’ve seen that’s critical of Eternal. I would argue that Doom Eternal was NOT made for “low attention span millennials,” given it’s increased difficulty over 2016. Having to be mindful of your ammunition and the amount of gas you have in your chainsaw upped the ante…
It’s a mediocre game that doesn’t deserve to carry the Doom name, and this is coming from someone who has replayed and beaten it multiple times. (Every time I take a long hiatus from it and pick it back up, I try to convince myself that it’s worth slogging through again.)
So stop visiting Kotaku and any other website that engages in what seems like endless hyperbole.
You’re acting way too sensitive.
The fact that you read it as “Anal Battle” says more about you than it does the chosen font.
I’ll wait for the eventual PC and/or console release
Going to the theater has become somewhat of an inconvenience, and considering how expensive it is, I wouldn’t be surprised if movie viewership was already down precipitously pre-COVID. I don’t think I’d actually miss going to the theater.
One word sums this whole thing up. I wish I loved games like I did when I was younger. The more corporatized the industry becomes, the less fun I’m having with it.
If only Burning Rangers wasn’t going for $400+ :( :( :(
Really disappointing to hear that BD II is essentially unchanged from the previous games in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed BD, save for the atrocious end segment of the game, and found BS to be a fun romp with an unengaging story.
