Nonetheless, there is a big difference between stock WRXs and modified WRXs, and the distinction is worth noting. By simply stating “What is it with WRXs and catching fire?,” it leads the reader to believe that all WRXs are prone to this issue, when in fact you were mostly referring to modified WRXs.

Except those are recalls due to risk of fire, not actual fires. And do a Google search on “car recalls due to risk of fire.” Take a look at the first few search results and then rethink your prior statement.

Uhhhhhhhhh, I’ve owned WRXs for over 11 years now and have frequented many Subaru forums for years now. Recurring car fires are not a common theme among WRXs or Subarus for that matter.
