No, they don’t, but they have, for the most part, control over the content of their game(s) and the features they discuss in public. They over promised and under delivered, and that cannot be disputed.

It’s more than enough material to throw back at the developers and ask, “what the hell happened?” There’s no legitimate defense for the muddled launch and execution of what was easily one of the most anticipated games of all time.

I'm specifically talking about the quality of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if they more than covered all the costs associated with making the game. The issue is that many promises were made, and subsequently broken, and Hello Games got way in over their heads.

I stay far away from online play. There are still loads of single player heavy games out there, thankfully. Been dumping hours and hours into Hyrule Warriors Legends as of late, and it’s a perfect example of how fun single player games still are.
