That’s correct. The last Star Wars media I’ve seen outside of games and movies was the older books. I was reading a book about the characters from the Mos Eisley cantina while waiting for midnight for the GameCube launch.  I’ve seen nothing but movies and games since then.  I know I should fix that, but I really

There’s only two people (presumably) who know the truth about Ambassador Vreenak. One has transcended, and the other will happily take that secret to their grave.

Man this got me so excited while everyone was like “WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON”. And we never had a following :(

Solo was a fun movie IMO!

and then the 99 percent of viewers who never even heard of The Matrix Online look around going “What?!”

Breaking Bad is one of the best shows ever, you should watch it. Esposito is a Latino community leader who owns several fast food places and mentors people into profitable careers.

What’s funny is that this makes me LESS likely to check it out. To me, the fun of checking out an older game is that there’s all this older content I can either breeze through or enjoy while learning. Having a wealth of things to do is part of the draw for me. I picked up FFXIV last year and there’s just so much to

It was a fun little moment, and I liked the fact that the entire “far future” bit seemed like a hopeful state where Andorians, Humans, Caitians and Ferengi are still living in peace.

You sound like someone who “claims” to know a lot about Star Trek, but really doesn’t.

Lower Decks happens... after DS9, 2380 to be exact, and a year after Star Trek Nemesis.

Worf: “Romulan ale should be illegal.”

“... attacked by an eagle.”

I mean, if Geordi is a competent engineer, he was already budgeting a reasonable amount of buffer time into his estimates in the first place.

I’ve worked in custom manufacturing for decades, and it has always been a constant battle with sales to get them to ask me how long it’s going to take before giving the customer a promise date. Customers always want it fast, cheap, and good. I never do crap work just to get something done on time.

Did anyone else punch the air like I did when it turned out that Miles O’Brien was declared the most important person in Starfleet history? Dude’s been through enough that he deserves it...

The joke almost lost me, because “buffer time” is actually a real world thing where people tend to do better quality work if they aren’t micro-managed, can take breaks or vacations as they need to, and if they’re intrinsically motivated (like Starfleet officers and these characters in particular seem to be) to do good

1) The Empire is never shown as anything other than a military dictatorship. In A New Hope, one of the Imperial officers explicitly says the Emperor has just dissolved the Senate, suggesting he kept it around for as long as it suited his needs, which was presumably until he finished the completion of the Death Star.

In Return of the Jedi, several of the Rebel ground forces and Rebel pilots are people of color. The Empire, however, consistently only showed white men in officer roles. So while casting might explain the blinding whiteness of the first film, the filmmakers consciously tried to diversify the human Rebels by the third

It had to generalize its themes, which ultimately makes it more relevant and more important.

If anything there was a whiff of “human supremacy” but it didn’t seem to be about color at all...or did I miss something?
