I'm seeing a lot of people not digging on the wives, sisters, daughters portion, but I don't see it as patriarchal so much as the nature of language. The ad is intended for men, and about sexual violence against women. These are the words referring to female relatives.

Frankly, I blame Jezebel for stirring this up, keeping it stirred up, keeping the subject of campus sexual abuse against women in the public's eye. Wait.. that's not right.. blame.. wrong word.. what am I looking for..? CONGRATULATE!!!!!!

I don't think this PSA is targeting hardcore misogynistic, abusive men though (not that they don't need to be targeted and held responsible for their actions, they absolutely do). I think it's targeting the regular dude who may not understand exactly what consent is. If he hears, "If she can't consent, it's rape." and

I laughed. He is beautiful, and you stop it right now.

I watched West Side Story for the first time when I was 12. My parents had been talking it up all week, and were pointing out all the things they loved while we were watching it. AND THEN TONY DIES. NOBODY HAD TOLD ME TONY DIES. I ran to my room and cried myself to sleep.

I blame Nicholas Sparks for most of this. How many of these movies are his? Way too many, you guys...way too many.

I've seen 2 of these movies on this list.

The ultimate example of teenage impatience and poor decision making skills.

Kids that age are caught up in sexual infatuation, hormonal intensity and obsession that isn't often replicated in adult relationships. This was about two people driven by that, risking their lives for it, and it makes good drama. Shakespeare knew what he was doing.

Your little "subtle" jokes peppered throughout this?

I'm a horrible person, but "propellors and whatnot" cracked me up.

i have to ask how the response to a movie that includes this:

Have you ever seen this clip from "What's Up Doc?" It has a fun Love Story reference.

Has anyone in this crowd actually seen Love Story? I recently sat down to watch because despite my hatred of these movies—Romeo + Juliet notwithstanding, BEST LUHRMANN FLICK EVER—I had run out of other things to busy myself with. I was all excited because Ryan O'Neal was a slice back in the day but holy christ is it

Good Lord...these movies make me want to explore the restorative powers of a lobotomy.

Actually, the list of job requirements, include the hygiene and behavioral codes, is directly tied to whether these ladies were employees, independent contractors or volunteers. Employment law arcana, maybe, but definitely relevant to the legal case. I think the level of detail, particularly vis-a-vis firing

Okay, blatant sexism aside, as the daughter of a master carpenter I have to say I laughed the hardest at "not having to use math," part. I watch my dad measure things out at LEAST twice before making the cut. Sometimes 3 times. That's WHY there's a popular saying that goes, "measure twice, cut once."

When I see a man drinking bourbon, I think—did this dude steal my bourbon?
