With a child on the way and probably a second one in our future, I’ve pretty much resigned myself to the fact that this will most likely be my next vehicle once my current lease is up.

As a parts guy, I absolutely HATE when manufacturers do this.

Chances are, they already do...

I think it’s still two separate grilles on that spy shot, it’s just that the lighting and dark car color make the body-colored middle section blend in with the black grille.

I hope the ID.R beats it. Then I hope Porsche drags the 919 Evo out of retirement and shows them what’s what.

When we figure out a way for a multitude of media outlets to operate and survive independently without the need for profit.

I always really enjoyed it when the predators would say “Oh, yeah, I’ve seen that show...”  HA. Enjoy prison, dumbass.

I personally didn’t get a new car in 2019 because my wife and I already each got one in 2018. Given that we’d seen an increase in sales for a few straight years, to record numbers, it was only a matter of time before the market took a step back. Cars last longer than ever now and scrappage rates remain low so to me it

Maybe they’ll make an electric or hybrid hatchback off the same platform to compete with the Honda E... they could call it the Pinto!

I suppose it may be a way for them to automatically filter out unqualified/inexperienced candidates, but it astounds me how much industry (and even Ford-specific) jargon is in that job listing. What’s a V11/V12? What’s a VFG? What’s a binning claim?

Wow, $36k for that in 1999... could you imagine Mitsubishi selling a $56,000 SUV today??

And it’s in deep disrepair.

Well-written article Torch, although the timeline of the switch from Stage 3 to Stage 4 could be debatable. I personally think it happened sometime last year.

I sold it in late November after making about 30% profit in only a few months. I felt like a king! Still a good deal... but oh, what could have been...

My wife and I follow F1 pretty closely... here are some thoughts:

I really hope this ends up being a luxury SUV and not a reintroduction of the failed, ugly Mark LT or Blackwood.

Kia Sportage is like that, too - except those lower lights are ALWAYS the brake light on the Sportage and the bigger tailgate-mounted lenses, which you’d expect to be brake lights also, are only there as taillamps when the headlights are on.

That shouldn’t be too hard - Jeep says the Wrangler starts at $28k but it goes upwards from there pretty quickly. A 4-door Wrangler Sahara is already north of $45k.

This will sell well, but for it to sell REALLY well and really bite into the cult of Jeep there needs to be a ridiculous amount of aftermarket support for it.

Hopefully someday they develop Marty 2.0 who is more entertaining.
