A $37,000 pen? I can see only two scenarios when a pen should be worth that much:

I saw this line in the article: “As Gizmodo has reported before, though, different companies rely on different databases of genetic patterns and use different algorithms to come up with their results.” and immediately thought to myself “So what they’re really saying is, take ALL of them for best results.”

His point is that Elon and his engineers followed through on the crazy idea of re-usable rockets. They failed at first, over and over again, but now they’ve gotten so good at it that they can land two of them side by side simultaneously. Crazy goals take time, money, and quite a bit of trial and error.

This line from “The Other Guys” when they’re in a Prius...

So the bigger issue is really the everyday parking situation and the lack of ability to charge it while it’s parked. Range still wouldn’t really be a factor except on Christmas or the occasional other day when traffic is bad, but you’re still talking like... maybe ten days a year at most?

Number 2 will always become Number 3. It’s a matter of “when”, not “if”.

So you found one specific instance in one geographic area on one specific day that, in theory, might make this car a bad fit. You could easily rent a regular ICE car for that one particular day and enjoy the fuel savings of an EV for the other 364 days of the year, right?

Also I’m curious if they can ship this everywhere. Here in Massachusetts, to be a licensed retailer of motor oil (in addition to cutting a check to the government every year) you have to also accept used motor oil in return at no charge so that it can be properly disposed of. This means keeping an approved tank or

I wonder who is bottling it for them? A large majority of the private-label oils on the market are from Warren or Old World (which sells their own under the Peak label).

“ETF” stands for “Exchange Traded Fund”. This link can explain it far better than I can:

I learned something today before I was even done with my first cup of coffee. Thanks for the great explanation!

I never realized it before, but Sam Waterston looks like a 30-year-older John Oliver.

If the Rivian R1T lives up to even half its potential, I bet we’ll see one of the “Big 3" move very quickly on one (or just straight up purchase Rivian if it comes down to it...)

Yeah, I really like your ideas better! May’s Caddy should have horns on the front of it.

I’m sure a cross-country trip would be a lot more exciting than a trip to Hyannis!

Gorgeous! It begins (or ends, depending on which way you’re going) in Provincetown, MA which is at the tip of Cape Cod, running through the dunes and along the water for a little stretch before turning into the Cape’s “highway”.

This could be the pun of the Century! But we’d expect nothing less from a Regal commenter like yourself...

I would love to see them do a proper cross-country trip in the US. And not on major highways, but specifically on US Route 6 which winds its way from Provincetown, MA to Bishop, CA. It’s not quite coast-to-coast since Bishop is in the eastern part of the state, but 3,200 miles of travel on what’s mostly a two lane

I think the top of your hood is almost level with the bottom of the door on the new ones!

Someone in New England will probably find out in about 3-4 years.
