Yes! Could have put it under that taillight instead and mounted it level with the ground (like the hybrid badge that’s on the right side in that spot).  If you’re going to make a bunch of bad styling decisions I guess they decided to go all-in.

Thanks for the great info! A seekable music progress bar should be a no-brainer for any vehicle with a touch screen setup, but there are many vehicles other than the Model 3 that don’t have this yet either. How’s the sound quality?

When I was in my late teens I had an ‘87 Camaro IROC-Z and, naturally, wanted to put a better stereo in it. I also thought that, since it had to sound great, I should add sound deadening material behind the interior panels. So after spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on top-name-brand sound deadening mats, I

Two come to mind:

Or Uggs. Maybe that’s just a specific group of white people though.

What is interior space like compared to regular ICE or hybrid vehicles of the same size?  How’s the visibility?  What are two or three things you’d change about the vehicle if you could?

Not clicking the link, because work, but this also sounds like it was invented by the Germans.

Congrats to him for enduring a terrible event like that and getting right back to it. This Alfa looks beautiful, and the quality of his work looks excellent as well. The only flaw I see is that his “0170" cap is on upside-down.

Interesting, didn’t know that! I remember seeing them in different places while on vacation but misjudged their size. Thanks for the info.

I think you’re probably right, but even short-term spikes from weather or other issues can hurt them, unless they’re planning on making these vehicles hybrids. We’ll see!

Already been done, too, in the mid-2000's. The Freestyle (tallish wagon version of the Ford Five Hundred) became the Taurus X when they renamed the Five Hundred to Taurus.  It was a very unremarkable, bland, forgettable vehicle.

Re: Ford Princess

2nd Gear: I think Ford’s move towards an essentially all truck-SUV-crossover is a poor long-term choice. I get that it’s where the market is moving today, but tastes change, fuel prices change, etc. Hopefully they have a “Plan B” set up in case things swing the other direction.

It’s amazing how much different it is. I live in MA and people are generally very stand-offish to the point that if someone random DOES talk to you, your first reaction is that they’re probably up to something. I like where I live, but that’s probably the first thing I’d change about it.

If I were a grandfather (I am not), and my grandchild was into dinosaurs, I could see dropping $5k on this and using it to drive the little snot rocket around on the weekends. I think it would be fun. I’d be cool (finally). They’d have that memory for the rest of their lives.

The closest thing to a Rockstar-like football game was Blitz. I still love that game, even if the graphics on the PS2 or original XBox give me a headache now.

I think RBR moving Gasly up is a safer move than when they moved Kvyat up a few years ago.

I hadn’t heard about sensorless-TPMS before (or I guess ABS-based “TPM-Guess” is more like it) but sure enough, the Fit doesn’t have TPMS sensors. Learned something new today!

I think the closest thing we have to a Nissan Micra is the Mitsubishi Mirage, which starts at $13,995. Basic, no frills, built to be cheap. I doubt the Micra would be much cheaper than that if it was sold here because the cost to federalize it would be so high since it wasn’t built to US crash and emissions standards

I was against the mandatory TPMS at first, but after owning three cars with it since then, I’m glad it’s there.  It’s a huge convenience, and frankly it’s one that I would have paid for earlier, but it wasn’t even really an option before the mandate except on many luxury cars.
